Steve Ballmer (Detroit, March 24, 1956) is president and CEO of Microsoft.
Born in March 1956, grew up near Detroit, where his father worked as a manager at Ford Motor Co. He graduated from Harvard University with a degree in economics and mathematics. During his stay in the University, Ballmer worked in the Harvard Crimson newspaper, the literary magazine and directed the university football team, which does understand his productions. He slept on the same floor that Bill Gates. After college, he worked two years at Procter & Gamble Co. as assistant manager of product and, before joining Microsoft, came to the school administration from Stanford University.
Ballmer joined Microsoft in the year 1980 and was the first business manager hired by Bill Gates. Since then, Ballmer has become a hallmark of its presence in the company.
Over the past 20 years, Ballmer has headed several Microsoft divisions, which include the operations, development of operating systems, sales and support. In July 1998, he was given the post of president, a post he gave the daily responsibility of leading the company. He was named CEO in January 2000, he assumed the post at full responsibility for the management of the company.
Ballmer is known for his position in the community of free software development, which has even reached brand of Communism, and also by their angry arguments and violent behavior to employees who have left Microsoft to go to Google.
As if it were not walking his fame through his lectures and presentations has swept around the world thanks to "The Monkey Dance" and other shows fruits of their theatrical energy and passion.
