    ) . 57% of Europe's population regularly access the Internet every week according to a study published recently by the European Interactive Advertising Association (IALS). This means that 169 million Europeans frequently use the network.

    For the first time, young people between 16 and 24 years access to the Internet most often to watch television - 82% of these young people use the Internet between 5 and 7 days a week while only 77% watch television regularly (a decrease 5% from last year). Young people between 16 and 24 years also spent 10% more time surfing the Internet than watching television and almost half (48%) state that the consumption of television has been reduced as a direct result of the use of the Internet. In Spain, young people spend 22% more of their time surfing the Internet than watching TV.

    The time spent on the Internet is also growing. European Internet network used 11.9 hours each week and nearly one third (29%) are defined as heavy Internet users using an average of 16 hours or more each week the network - which represents more than 48 million people .
    The Internet has become the nerve center of information for Internet users to increase the consumption of media such as newspapers, magazines, radio and digital TV. 83% of respondents stated that they could not live without at least some of the most popular network (mail, instant messaging, listening to the radio, downloaded files, go into any Web) as the Internet has come to be part of their lives. One third (32%) of Internet users said they could not live without e-mail, while 96% admitted carrying out any activity less often as a result of your use of the network. Nearly two thirds (63%) reports on the Internet at the expense of other media, 40% admit they watch less television, 22% do not listen much to the radio and 28% read newspapers less frequently - and that 65% of Internet users in accessing information portals at least once a month. In Spain the figure rises to up to 80%.

    The survey also asked Internet users because they did not use the network to perform certain tasks. Surprisingly, only a small number of users (less than 10%) believed that the tasks were too complicated.
