The most commonly used passwords in Internet
For Digital Future | July 22, 2008
Internet users often use the same passwords normally for all your accounts, whether mail or any other kind. To the surprise of much of the Internet, are often easier to what is recommended, with the danger involved. In May, the magazine PC Magazine published a study on the matter, indicating what were the most commonly used passwords.
First places are the very word "password" as it is best for different people used. "123456" or "qwerty" (the first 6 letters on the keyboard) are also the most used on the Web, although none of them meets the minimum safety requirements, such as the mix of letters and numbers, or use of a number more character.
Draws attention to the fact that the word "monkey" (mono) is in sixth place most of the expressions used in passwords.
This is the complete list of words or expressions used:
- passwod
- 123,456
- qwerty
- abc123
- letmein
- monkey
- myspace1
- password1
- blink182
- (user name)
As you can see, the title of the article could also be: "What passwords should not be used ever."
