LG TVs with the Koran for the Middle East

    For Digital Future | September 29, 2008

LG Electronics is selling two models of HDTV in the Middle East containing the full text of the Koran, the sacred book of Islam. In particular the model in question is the Plasma / LCD Time Machine that lets stop and rewind live television broadcasts and record programs for later viewing. Its hard drive can store 160 gigabytes including 40 football games and 30 movies.

This product was created after a study indicated that many devout Muslims read the Koran every day, or listen on their home entertainment (HI-FI, Home Cinema ...). With the addition of these models in HDTV 42 "and 50", LG expects to increase its market share in the Middle East.

It includes all the 114 chapters of the Quran, can be viewed on the screen as text, or play through the loudspeaker. Playback can be controlled by the remote, and you can navigate through the various passages of the book in a simple manner.

Almost without realizing it, we find an HDTV that is capable of playing sound and text. It may not make sense to use TV as a system for providing books, but as is clear from the movement of LG, you can win a market share determined by the content being offered.

This latest innovation continues the unprecedented success of LG mobile phones in the Qiblah, which was hit in the Gulf countries. Qiblah Phone (LG-F7100) is drawn to address the users to pray toward Mecca. Simply enter the address of where the phone operates in 500 cities worldwide.

Many explanations on this blog devoted to describe all the elements to make the best possible purchase of television and some come with the Koran and burst the market!
